This charming cottage stands on the Port du Roy Marina at Aigues Mortes, a lively, historic walled town on the border between the Languedoc and Provence.

On the terrace, you can enjoy an invigorating swim in the heated salt water exercise pool or dine alfresco whilst watching the yachts pass along the canal. The cottage is in a superb location; close to Aigues Mortes, you can stroll to the local shops and restaurants or if you are feeling adventurous hire a boat and explore the canal system. The canal paths provide excellent car-free trekking and cycling routes. There are many sandy beaches nearby, enclosed with pristine forests and sand dunes, where you can enjoy water sports, take a long walk along or just relax with a good book. You may decide to explore the amazing Camargue countryside to see its famous white horses, black bulls and pink flamingoes, or sample the delicious local food and superb variety of wines in one of the many beautiful villages and marinas scattered throughout this region. Neighbouring Languedoc, once called Occitane, offers some of the best sandy beaches in France, in particular those around Sete, just 50 minutes away. The amphitheatre and archaeological collections in Nimes will delight history-lovers, not to mention the history on your doorstep - Aigues Mortes was the departure point for the Crusades!
